The tweet by Trump is real and accurate. I saw it displayed this morning on Bloomberg television's "Opening Bell" segment, accompanied by an excerpt of a video of Trump being interviewed on a plane in which he says talks with Iran are going "very well" but they are difficult because after we talk with people "we negotiate with them but then we have to keep blowing them up." (!!!)
The response by Alt National Park Service is to my knowledge correct. These threats by Trump may be just "jawboning" and empty rhetoric, similar to the Iranian boasts that they would incinerate America "boots on the ground." It is my understanding that since taking office, Trump has replaced the top brass i the Joint Chiefs of Staff with men who are more hawkish, but I believe seasoned warriors would be hesitant to implement war plans that are internationally-recognized war crimes.
The stock market opened up this morning in response to weekend claims that "talks are underway," perhaps referring to third-party talks hosted by Pakistan. I took this morning's upward move as an opportunity to add to my bearish positions.
It's interesting to me that millions will show up in their cities to a No Kings protest but those millions won't show up in Washington DC (or where the great turd is) and show him their rath over the horrors he created, you know like the hippies did during the 500,000 strong March Against Death against Nixon and Kissinger during the Vietnam War. I remember reading somewhere that Kissinger told Nixon that if the protesters wanted to take them there was nothing they could do to stop it. Why are we so weak and lazy now?

DeleteProtesting in America is your constitutional right. It is also the right of your employer to fire you for protesting. The job you just lost probably provided whatever meagre health insurance you might have. And that's assuming you got a day off to protest, and had managed to resist the predominantly Right Wing media, both mass and social, that will have been telling you everything is the best it's ever been so what are you even angry about?
I just finished catching up on the latest John Oliver about Viktor Orbán and how he and his party pulled off a bloodless coup through the courts. You should pay attention because it could happen in America - though, honestly, Trump has been so ham-fisted I doubt the plotters he surrounds himself with could manage it without him explicitly telling everyone via Truth Social that he's about to pull off the greatest coup of all time.
