Instagram influencers are promoting "perineum sunning" as a health practice.
“In a mere 30 seconds of sunlight on your butthole, you will receive more energy from this electric node than you would in an entire day being outside with your clothes on,” says an influencer, who goes by Ra of Earth. In a viral video that has racked up more than 35,000 views, he gestures toward the sun as three naked men lie down, point their backsides to the sky and make sounds of pleasure. You can read more about this in the New York Post.
“[Thirty] seconds of direct sunlight injection to the anal orifice is equivalent to being outside in the sun all day!”
Addendum: complication reported (anal tissue is very sensitive to sunburn)
Reposted from 2020 to accompany my new post on "sunscreen absolutism."
The only argument for a serious recession is that these idiots would need to find real work.
ReplyDeletetechnically, your perineum is NOT your anus. it is in close proximity to, but it is not.
ReplyDeleteI-)
I had never even heard of this until the other day I read something along the lines of "butthole tanning," which I took, at the time, to mean sunbathing in the nude (which it is, in a sense, I suppose). But this new thing sounds like something akin those who claim to live only on a diet of air and water, and the such.
ReplyDeleteYou have to wonder if there is not some collective out there that laughs their heads off when otherwise sane people take up these ludicrous practices at their behest.
These people are, quite literally, being assholes. I'll see myself out.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least it's not doing any active harm, unlike most of these wingnut theories
ReplyDeleteNew age "health" craze. Complete bullshit, and I'm willing to call that even though I find swimming and sunbathing in the nude quite refreshing and exhilarating.
ReplyDeleteI used to design and build houses, and every one I did I would include an outdoor shower, always private, but out there all the same. The pure joy, of a non sexual kind, that is to be had from an outdoor shower is fantastic. I suggest you alter your place of residence to allow yourself such a treat.
DeleteI don't know, there must be something in it, her nipples emit light.
ReplyDeleteI'm not entirely sure, but the person in the picture appears to have a rather masculine hairline.
DeleteHaving daughters has left me with a fairly healthy respect for women (at least, I think so) which in turn means I seldom pore closely over images of naked females (I in no way imply that you do) but it seems I may have been wrong in my assumption that the image was of a female form.
DeleteI put forth, in my defence, that I may also have been swayed by the article which followed the topical one, which talks about ugliness and displays a picture worthy of its thousand words, even though it was done by a blacksmith.
Furthermore, my perception made have been coloured by the deliberate masking of the subject's nipples, a habit used in a Draconian way to shield us from our uncontrollable lust for the female form, albeit that this time they were shielding me from any lust I may have been suffering for a 'suntanned starfish' type of bloke.
The treatment for "crotch rot" includes keeping the groin area clean and dry as well as applying topical anti-fungal medications. One way to keep the area dry is to expose it to air. Exposure to sunlight is one way of staying the proliferation of fungi.
ReplyDeletei was waiting for something like this to happen!

To keep from getting it sunburnt, soak a cotton ball with Tabasco and swab the area first. Actor Josh Brolin skipped this important step.
