Coyotes are preferable IMHO to pumas. A wily puma almost never loses.
Which reminds me: I long-ago drove down California's Redwood Highway. On one two-lane stretch, in the bottom of a deep ravine, I saw a puma dash from side to side. Just beyond was a scenic turnout, where a trailered family had young children gamboling about. I stopped and warned them of the predator only 1/4 mile away. They quickly grabbed the kids and threw them into vehicles. Good move. Had it been coyotes, no problem. But one cannot argue with pumas.
Someone has a great sense of humor!!
