How tennis balls are manufactured
There is something mesmerizing about watching machinery in a video. But for the workers involved, it is an entirely different experience. I have personal experience in that regard, having spent much of a summer earning minimum wage greasing cooker machines and pulling dented cans from an assembly line in a Green Giant corn- and pea-packing plant.

Yet those mindnumbing summer jobs are so important. I think everyone should spend a few month at a job like that. It's a huge motivator to stay in school.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the workers in the video appear to be full-time employees, doing mind-numbing work, much of it capable of causing repetitive stress injuries. Also, you don't have to be a dropout to be stuck in a dead end job in today's America.
