More like "3 very unpractical Ways to Escape Zip Ties". Anyway, I always tie people's hands using heavy duty 0.5'' width zip ties, with palms flat and locking mechanism facing down.
Actually, number 3 is a very practical way to open and re-use zip ties in general. I usually use a small flat head screwdriver, and unlocking is easier if you insert it from the back of the mechanism (i.e. from the inside of the loop).
