Love the painting, but where did she find the book she's reading? The shelves hold only large volumes.
It's quite obvious it must have been hidden in among the large volumes... thus her keen interest in it. ;)
Now this is definitely a panting I could see in my den. Now if I only had a den...
My 2012 wall calendar depicts, for each month, a painting in which someone is reading, mostly from the 19th century. I've never seen this one before, though. Which goes to show there are a lot of paintings out there of people reading...
I would really like to purchase a reprint of this painting, but cannot find it anywhere on-line. Does anyone know of a source for this print?
