The Sweden Democrats (SD), which has described growth of the country's Muslim minority as the biggest foreign threat since the Second World War, won 20 seats in Sunday's parliamentary elections, leaving the two main blocs without a majority...Further details, and a brief news-summary video at the Al Jazeera link.
Many Swedes expressed disappointment that the Sweden Democrats won seats in the legislature. More than 6,000 protesters gathered in central Stockholm on Monday. Thousands of others, dressed in black clothes as an expression of mourning, marched in silence in Gothenburg...
The party says immigration is draining the welfare system and wants to cut asylum and immigration by relatives of people already living in Sweden by 90 per cent.
Immigrants make up 14 per cent of the country's population of 9.4 million. The largest groups of non-European immigrants in the last decade have been Iraqis and Somalis...

What you must remember is that immigrants in Sweden and Norway are not like American immigrants.
ReplyDeleteWhile the US only takes the best and the brightest, people who we choose to let into our society to better it, the nordic countries immigrants are mostly asylum seekers. They are the poorest, most religious, least educated, and come from the most violent of backgrounds.
These immigrants come in, willingly stick to ghettos, commit much more crime than the natives, preach hate under speech protection laws, drain the welfare system (Swedes have to pay upwards of 65% of their income in taxes for these social programs)...
And on top of it all, with current demographic trends, non-swedes will be the majority in Sweden within only 25 years.
I think they not only have the right to resist immigration , but SHOULD for the future of their country.
It's always interesting when people protest against what is effectively the democratic process.
ReplyDeleteI'm not advocating that the far-right has decent policies - but THEY WERE VOTED IN! The fact that they were voted in means that a significant portion of the population agrees with them. So to me this means that the people protesting actually want to change the outcome, thereby changing the democratic process
@Kevin
ReplyDeleteOnly a fraction of the 65% goes to supporting these asylum seekers. Don't forget that health care and education is for free too, not to mention the fact, that if you are so unfortunate to get unemployed, government assist you so you're actually able to live a fairly decent life until you get a new job.
Kicking asylum seekers out and preventing them from getting their close ones brought to Sweden is a selfish western view that has only gotten worse with the propaganda and wrongful invasion of several middle eastern countries. I'm not saying asylum seekers should get a free ride, they should contribute of course, I'm just saying that it's wrong to turn down people that ask for help.

a scandinavian citizen that see all this bullshit up close every single day

No, it really isn't
It was your ancestors and your culture that put their blood, sweet, and tears into building up your nation to make it a nice place to live. They did not do this for everyone in the world, they did it for you, their descendants, as you should be doing for yours.
There is only so much to go around. And the Scandinavian nations, which do have more than most, seem to have it in their head that they are personally responsible for all the worlds suffering. When in reality they are probably least responsible.
It is a shame that you expose your children to the rapid increase in crime, religious extremism, and crippling taxes that comes with the Scandinavian immigration model.
And I think that it is your media that is letting you down. 90% of all rapes in Norway are from foreign born residents, that is a direct statistic from the Norwegian government, but you will not find it in a Norske newspaper. I only found out because someone posted a translation of an Dutch newspaper on another forum.
I read stories like this

every day from Sweden and it really makes me fell sorry for you guys. It may not be terrible now, but just wait
If you don't think mass immigration from another culture is bad for a native peoples just as the Native Americans
"No, it really isn't"
ReplyDeleteYes :p

I am actually taking my decendants into account, for all of this racial/religious shit to end, it has to stop somewhere. I'm able to look past colour, belief and origin (which is pretty much the essence of what this is about, imo), these three things are completely irrelevant. What is relevant, is the specific individual that is causing the problem, he/she has to be dealt with, not an entire "people" (don't know the exact english word which describe what i mean). Everywhere in Europe it's all about open borders, common goals, multi national growth etc. however, if you're muslim you can't be a part of this, errrm, does something seem wrong?

Scandinavians have more than enough to go around, even with low end jobs there is enough room to actually help people that need it.
"It is a shame that you expose your children to the rapid increase in crime, religious extremism, and crippling taxes that comes with the Scandinavian immigration model."
Well, crime doesn't just appear because there are foreigners. It's the way they are dealt with, that makes the biggest impact. Instead of just sending a family into a camp, and later a concrete ghetto, they should be helped/guided to integrate with locals. Most others that would be sent into a ghetto have quite a big chance of ending in crime, reguardles of race or belief. You're a product of your environment. It's not only muslims that are religious extremists, just take a look at the christian minister and the hundred thousand people that supported his action on his facebook page because he wanted to burn the Quran.

I see your point in these, and those who do this have to be punished, but it says "90% of all rapes..." not "90% of all foreigners rape..."
"If you don't think mass immigration from another culture is bad for a native peoples just as the Native Americans"
People didn't immigrate to what came to be America, they invaded. So that's a bit different.
I guess the easiest is to aim wide and get rid of all that fit atleast part of the description. (Sarcasm)
I consider myself 100% Dane, tho I am a tad reluctant to say this, due to the generally narrowminded government we currently have. One of our ministers even said "Dig out your inner racist" to a public media.
Two generations out, I'm part Russian, Spanish, German Jew, Danish and American. Am I an immigrant?
