The "... sandwiches" is not the funny part. The humor is that Ella and Lilly agreed earlier in the year to write an extended comment that would continue from one of them to the other in the yearbook, i.e. something like "As twin sisters we agree on everything except..." "... sandwiches". Then Ella didn't submit her part.
It is funny-- it's a quote from Frozen, "We finish each other's... sandwiches" from "Love is an open door." I'm sure the second person was in on the joke.
