Hmmm. Interesting at least. The problem is that any BG who actually knows what they're doing is not going to be within arm's reach of their victim. The basic reaction time for pulling a trigger is, for most people, .25 sec and a normal person can move 2-3 feet in that length of time. Assuming you weren't wetting your pants, you wouldn't even need to know any of the tricky disarms to get out of it. Just hit the gun out of the way and then hit the BG. Most pros are aware of disarms and try to counter them. Thanks for sharing them tho'....
A gunman isn't likely to be standing that close, is he?

ReplyDeleteWow, poor black guy.
ReplyDeleteTraining/demonstrating doesn't look very fun from his perspective.
ouch, man.
Not the finest display, but this is Krav Maga.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't recommend trying to learn the disarms from this video, but they are extremely effective.
As for Anon who postulated that a gunman would not be that close; I used to think the same.
In most situations involving robbery, the gunman actually is within arms reach.
I would recommend "Ultimate Krav Maga" for those interested in a good instructional DVD course.
Pro's are trained against that. Wouldn't work real-world. I'dve never been in those positions, and would have shot the guy 100% of the time.
