Crows' nests constructed from coat hangers


The one above was photographed near Kyushu University in Fukuoka City. The one below had fallen from a tree in a Toyko suburb near a dry-cleaning establishment. Both images via Amusing Planet, where there is a gallery with additional images.

  1. I suppose it's just proof that, like humans, crows have bold artists and avant garde architects who just have a different vision from the ordinary.

  2. When I was a grad student in archaeology, we uncovered the mythical burial spot of the wire coat hangers, much like the above.

    [It was an historical house project, and a modern addition had been bulldozed without cleaning out all the closets. ]
