"Where's the paper?"

When I went to my doctor's office yesterday for my annual checkup, I noticed a change in the decor.  And an explanatory sign on the wall.

  1. It's more likely that they're trying to cut overhead costs--just like when hotels say that they don't change sheets because they care about the environment.

  2. i DON'T like my skin sticking to the table. and then you get to lie on top of a lot of dried up disinfectant.

  3. I'd take my own cloth covering and then take it home to wash. A large beach towel or old sheet would do.

  4. While I acknowledge that these are completely silly reasons, my kids have both LOVED crinkling the paper around while waiting on the doctor to arrive. My eldest is 4 and likes using crayons to leave drawings and messages for the doctors and nurses to find. My youngest is 15 months and had a genetic condition (Prader Willi Syndrome) that means floppy muscle tone. It's amazing how much effort he will put into wiggling around to hear the crinkling noise despite how much work it is for him.
