When CPR is a "huge mistake"

"This is what end of life looks like in the U.S. My wife had insurance she paid $500 per month for. The bottom two bills are for $400,000 the rest are between $50 to $5000. Sudden cardiac arrest at 47. I did CPR. Huge mistake. She lived two weeks in intensive care then told she was brain dead.?

  1. O! A subject I could go on & on about... As an ICU nurse, how many times did I see families want to keep Gramma alive so they could continue to receive her SS/retirement/Medicare benefits... How many times have heard docs say "Well, let's give him/her 3 more days, just to be sure..." when it was blatantly obvious the pt. was brain dead.
A large part of why I'm no longer a nurse...

  2. This is horrible. No one should have to go through this. National health should be the right of every citizen
