Sunset at Meteora
I've previously posted about Meteora and its access. This photo is a better demonstration of why the location was chosen. Imagine sitting there to watch the sunset. Or a storm passing by. Fantastic.
I visited Meteora in 1999, in the middle of a freak snow storm in Greece. Couldn't see anything. I did hike up the road, in the snow, and ran into a monk who looked at me incredulously and said "We're closed!".
