That's Beautiful Why do you think the foliage is greener in the center? Is it the distance from Saltspray? I don't think there an appreciable elevation difference.
I would guess it's different vegetation (palm trees vs scrub shrubs), but that's just a guess. If you go to Google images and scroll through a bunch of the Maldives hits, you can see some elevation changes, and some vegetation changes.
