Australia "cracks down" on excessive drinking

Australian police are gearing up for an annual crackdown on motor-racing fans - limiting race-goers to 24 cans of beer a day. Those choosing to drink lower-strength beer will be allowed to bring in 36 cans, police said.

Wine-drinkers must also show restraint, facing a four litres per day limit.

  1. wow, is that a limit that they expect people to hit? I know I'm not a heavy drinker...but I think that much beer would probably kill me.
