The prez of the local Audubon Society was incredulous until there was a second sighting down the road. A lot of folks arrived with binoculars, etc. There are few recorded sightings. I remember something about a sighting on the CSUC campus in the 1920s(?); bird was shot and stuffed. People! Wondering if our Scrub or Steller's are ever seen east of the Rockies.
