I like a little light at night but I do not appreciate a clock screaming the time at me from multiple directions. At home I just mumble, "Alexa, what time is it?" without ever opening my eyes but I doubt people would want Alexa in a hotel room where recording abilities could be problematic. (I don't worry about anyone recording me because I live alone and never ask Alexa anything but the time or weather, or set timers and occasionally listen to music. I'm going to bore anyone monitoring my Alexa to death. But I wandered away from the topic there, didn't I . . .) tl;dr - 21st century technology is good.Elagiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06933238537131559630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-36701685011352436142019-11-15T15:58:33.904-06:002019-11-15T15:58:33.904-06:00I have encountered these recently in hotels in Wes...I have encountered these recently in hotels in West Virginia and Kentucky. On the clocks I have had, there is a button on the clock to turn off the displays on the side, and you can dim the display on the front almost to the point where you can't see it.Kolo Jezdechttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07947534909312092946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-80166051454879587222019-11-15T14:47:36.403-06:002019-11-15T14:47:36.403-06:00When I grew up, I had a clock radio set in a corne...When I grew up, I had a clock radio set in a corner so that I could check the time from almost anywhere in my room. The habit has stuck, so currently in my two-room flat I have three digital clocks (two clock radios and my microwave oven) so that I can always check the time at a glance from almost anywhere, except the bathroom.dronirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04727111870617606514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-18039137441283677622019-11-15T13:38:13.401-06:002019-11-15T13:38:13.401-06:00Don't know for sure, but the alignment of the ...Don't know for sure, but the alignment of the "Display" button just above the side screen makes me think (or hope) that you are able to switch it on or off with a button tap.
