The term "ice tubes" is a little odd though, as it makes it sound like the ice crystals at play are somehow hollow. In reality, they are pillar-shaped, as explained on the Atmospheric Optics page they link to.Drabkikkerhttps://drabkikker.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-52465702748435195522021-02-18T11:43:40.570-06:002021-02-18T11:43:40.570-06:00maybe you can add this photo of light pillars in t...maybe you can add this photo of light pillars in texas (due to the recent cold snap there): https://twitter.com/WLBT/status/1361363396654989312

I-)
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-52503944094062692522018-10-26T11:06:24.894-05:002018-10-26T11:06:24.894-05:00Unearthly!Unearthly!Drabkikkerhttp://drabkikker.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-8319631330209638342018-10-25T16:27:43.225-05:002018-10-25T16:27:43.225-05:00I saw this APOD today (10.25.18) and was completel...I saw this APOD today (10.25.18) and was completely entranced by it ~bobbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14353836074794786357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-77435867542523919612014-01-02T13:54:10.362-06:002014-01-02T13:54:10.362-06:00I saw these on Christmas Eve heading south from Pl...I saw these on Christmas Eve heading south from Plattsburgh, NY. Quite an amazing sight!! I've seen them before, but that was the most dramatic I've encountered.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03853828170054997748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912713243046142041.post-19347108839146410092013-12-28T01:10:36.712-06:002013-12-28T01:10:36.712-06:00So cool.
