Truly amazing drone show

Since the component parts can be reused, one would have to think this marks the beginning of the end of fireworks displays.

My dog would be okay with this. Personally I think it was a bit dull compared to a good fireworks display but, I won't cry myself to sleep if fireworks go the way of the dinosaur.

    1. Interesting info re drone cost and battery life. I presume both of those will improve in the years ahead.

    2. The pictures with that article give away why fireworks are better. With fireworks, you are not exposed to some skycrap like what they show.

    3. Drone shows are good option where it is too dangerous to have fireworks. They have beauty that is separate and different from pyrotechnics.

  4. I await the first advertising shown by drones. I am sure someone has already thought about it.

    1. Like the airplanes that used to pull banners within view of crowds in football stadiums.

    2. And beaches. :-) At least the airplanes fly away and their banners are small.

I have seen band / performer "branded" drone shows at concerts, using all the band logos and associated symbols. Even though the performer was a personal favorite, the drone show seemed boring. Fireworks have a certain randomness to them; that makes them so much better.
