  1. Knowing that you appreciate knitpicking by your readers, here's a minor knit: in binomial nomenclature, the first element (the genus) is always capitalized: Homo sapiens, Canis lupus, Serratia marcescens, etc.

    1. Fixed. Thank you!! An embarrassing error for someone who used to aerosolize bacteria in a lab for research. :-)

      And in return I will note that "nitpicking" doesn't have an initial "k" - because it originated in reference to louse eggs (nits), not untangling knitting threads. :-)
