The image above comes from a segment about walking the high ice plateau of Antarctica to retrieve meteorites and micrometeorites. Of particular interest to me was the segment about retrieving micrometeorites from urban rooftops.
I read another article recently that talked about gathering/checking pieces with a magnet. That made me wonder if places regularly swept with magnets for debris like racetracks and airport runways are picking up space dust with the operators unaware of what it is. But at the end of the article the scientists were begging not to use a magnet as one contact will change the signature of the particle they wish to examine. I guess it makes no difference if you're just going to keep it.

I read an article (after reading about micrometeorites) that said that a lot of what people were finding was actually industrial slag. I like to think that they are meteorites, but I don't know which one is right.
