    1. The guy who posted the video is probably making a nice bit of pocket money still with what was probably just a prank at the time.

Did he post any positive comments? No. Looking at both sides, when one side are bigoted racists, gets you nowhere.

It looks like he stopped posting videos after that, perhaps because of the tidal wave of hate he got.

Even if his intentions weren't clear cut, you can't argue about the hate on display. Not a single one of those reactions was appropriate.

Your "context" video is the sort of thing both-siders post to distract from the problem, which makes you part of the problem. It isn't normal that anyone should feel so comfortable being openly racist and threatening violence in broad daylight in their own town.

  2. I don't think this is a particularly useful video clip for anything other than reinforcing existing prejudices. Obviously the statements are terrible, but the man is clearly looking for the dross of humanity, we shouldn't be shocked that he found it.

    1. Huh? There are people that literally feel that people no longer think this way. And it's jarring to watch it not only come out in thought, but aggressive action.

And would you feel the same way if he held up a sign that said "Chevy Trucks Are The Best"? Would have been some similar yelling and insults, but none that threatened his life or caused people to proclaim their disdain for a whole group of HUMANS. Either case, it's not right to react that way to someone merely holding a sign not bothering anyone.

Totally agree. Do you think there are places in the USA (some college campuses, perhaps) where a sign that said "There are two genders, male and female!" might have elicited a similar reaction? Maybe even to include violence?

      And Ford Trucks Matter, too...

  3. The comments from people in the video are beyond repugnant. Were there any positive comments, other than the note from the young lady at the end? Probably not many, but it is an edited video to show just what the guy wanted to show.
