Those hitches are easily removed. Takes about a minute. People just can't be bothered.
Parking any vehicle so that it partially blocks a sidewalk is illegal in most states. For obvious reasons, pickup trucks are the biggest offenders. Likely seldom if ever enforced.
Even worse sometimes they're on the front bumper where you don't expect them, I have a scar to prove it. They are on the front to maneuver trailers into tricky spots, or launch a boat keeping the rear drive wheels on dry ground. xoxoxoBruce

ReplyDeleteI've tripped over those things when they're in shadow of the parking lot light. There is no reason why the ball has to stick out that far.
