Feeds my misanthropy. I would like nothing more than to see humans gone, with the biosphere left intact. Sadly, the former will likely involve the destruction of the latter. That said, it's worth noting, for example, that 99% of the bacon consumed in America involves an equivalent level of CAFO cruelty--with the other 1% not far behind. We tend to push our misdeeds away on the basis of species and culture.
