Remember what Hawkeye said in a "Mash" episode

Hawkeye: War isn’t Hell. War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse.

Father Mulcahy: How do you figure that, Hawkeye?

Hawkeye: Easy, Father. Tell me, who goes to Hell?

Father Mulcahy: Sinners, I believe.

Hawkeye: Exactly. There are no innocent bystanders in Hell. War is chock full of them — little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for some of the brass, almost everybody involved is an innocent bystander.

  1. Seems weird that he would use the word "cripples" that way. Times have changed.

  3. If you read down the comments, this is a Ukrainian STRELA that lost control, not a Russian tank.

    1. Thank you, anon. I've amended the post to focus on the Hawkeye comment and not on the video.

  4. I believe the P.C. term for someone who is permanently crippled would be an "Invalid". [Over & Out]

  6. One of my favorite lines from the show ever. It really hits home, and it's as relevant today as it ever was.
