Xoloitzcuintli (not a statue)


It is a Mexican hairless dog.  At the via, a comment says the breed is pronounced  "show-low-eets-quint-lee."  More info at the Wikipedia entry.

    Although some may find their appearance a little disconcerting they're friendly, outgoing dogs who really like people. At least that's been my experience with the ones I've met and who always wanted to lick my face.
