"Mr. Robot"

I've just now started watching the 2015 Mr. Robot series.  I know it has a high Rotten Tomatoes score (98%) and won Emmy and Golden Globe awards, but when I started this I didn't realize it was a four-year-long series with 45 episodes.  I remember being disappointed when other multi-year series (Mad Men, Westworld) seemed to deteriorate or become incomprehensibly complicated as the years wore on, so I'd appreciate feedback from readers as to whether I should pursue this beyond the first year's ten episodes (I've enjoyed the first three - after adapting to the visual of Freddie Mercury as a computer hacker).

  1. Don't do it. Life is short.

  2. Yes, it’s superbly written and the cast is fantastic.

  3. The first season is the best, but the rest are almost as good. You can always stop watching it if you don't like it anymore. :)

  4. Season 1 was an awesome combination of character development and small heists, with a bigger arc in the background. Two and three are more traditional, with 2 definitely the weakest for various spoilery reasons. Three picks up again, and four was great, and more like one in many ways. Go for it!

  5. I was disappointed; couldn't follow the sci-fi effects. Dumb me, maybe.

  8. Well... It's almost a spoiler if I tell you that sometimes things that seem whacked or off in this show, and perhaps make you think it's gone cheesy might be on purpose. There's clues. Even the episode titles are not randomly chosen. I'd say it's good for at least 2 seasons. Then you can decide if you like it still. Or you could just watch the first because it has a nice closure.

  9. I have learned to wait until the series is complete before watching it. Mad Men for example took a year to a year and a half to release a new season. When a new season came on I had pretty much forgotten what the hell happened a year ago. With Mr.Robot, that I love, I watched 2 seasons but realized it would be over a year before it became streamable. Now that you remind me I need to go back and finish it.

  10. 1st season was great. 2nd not so much. Haven’t watch 3 and 4. Does 4 conclude the show/story?
