Doubling every three days

Coronavirus case trajectories graphed on a log scale.  Discussed at the Dataisbeautiful subreddit.

  1. The only problem with this graph it's making presumption that all countries have equal population. Additionally, what's missing is a correlation with how many tests were administered. For all we know the numbers doubling every three days may be only a correlation to how many tests were administered.

  2. There is no presumption regarding population size; the graph is comparing slopes representing a rate of change. Your second point is absolutely valid.

not trying to argue with you (pedantry is always welcome on TYWKIWDBI). it's just an interesting conundrum.
