I never really understand why people complain about such images. What should reporters do? Stand around the corner of something happening? Right in front of it seems the right position. As long as the reporter does not lie about the size of the crowd, he's not misrepresenting the truth.
The journalist is probably reporting that he's with or in front of the protestors. Which is very true. Unless he suggests there are more protestors than there are, he is not lying. The problem is that you are concluding something from the images that isn't there.

i like those photos of the media covering events, where there are more media than eventers.

So was this the Inauguration?
ReplyDeleteNo wonder there was some confusion about crowd size.
