This is not a fish


It's a nudibranch (sea slug) that has evolved a flattened morphology in order to hunt in a pelagic rather than benthic environment.  Details at Deep Sea News.

    Side issue, because I can't find the link to suggest a topic: I think you'd follow developments re: the Voynich Ms. Apparently this has finally been cracked. Link follows:

    1. Lurker, I do follow the Voynich, but I have seen a followup story and it debunks the "discovery" of breaking the code.
