The best video about thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail

I saw a brief video yesterday made by a thru-hiker with a Go-Pro, and emailed the link to a family member who had completed the trail last summer.  He responded by sending me the link to a much better video (embedded above).

It's a relatively long film (40 minutes) as You Tube entries go, but that length emphasizes that a 2,663-mile journey cannot be effectively captured in a brief video.

  1. Having watched only parts of it, I find the video a bit too clean and too beautiful - a bit too wordy as well. But then again I might just be envious as I'd love to through walk the pacific crest trail.

Hmmm… years ago I made a video about the three months I'd spent walking from my home to Santiago years earlier. I wanted it to be short and concise and reflect the state of mind you get into when walking long hours each day. So, 2100 km in 4 Minutes are doable;-)

    1. I think it was on Reddit if you want to scroll back beyond their front page or search a keyword.

You can also go to Youtube and search for a topic there. that will get you dozens of PCT hikes.

    2. thanks! i thought it might be a specific one about the PCT. that one you posted up there is nice, and, quite frankly, a refreshing change from the AT videos.

      I-)
