142857 is an interesting number

  • 142857 × 2 = 285714
  • 142857 × 3 = 428571
  • 142857 × 4 = 571428
  • 142857 × 5 = 714285
  • 142857 × 6 = 857142

    Multiples of 9 have all kinds of crazy features. Like all the digits that make up a multiple of nine add up to a multiple of 9. ex: 27, 45, 90, 2457... and the number listed above adds up to 27.
