The Wolf Eel is not an eel

As noted in the video, it's more closely related to a blenny [photo at right].  The Wikipedia entry calls it a "superficially eel-like fish" and notes that they are curious and friendly.  So people like to eat them.

  1. I've dove with many wolf eels here in Puget Sound, they are very friendly, seeming to enjoy being scratched like dogs do, and happy to be hand-fed broken-up bits of sea urchins.

It's a shame that they are apparently delicious.
