Unfortunately, such errors are all too common these days, given our reliance on spell-checking programs. Someone needs to develop a context-checking program to operate in conjunction with spellcheck! I swear no-one proofreads anything anymore, as evidenced by the sheer number of careless spelling (not to even mention grammar!) errors one sees everywhere, every day.
