"Breakfast on the fly"

A long-legged fly consuming its prey. 

This image won the Science Photography Prize at the 2010 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes.

  1. to put things in perspective, condylostylus flies (the predator) are probably about 3 mm from head to tail.
