I remember seeing something like this in a movie - some arthouse/foreign piece from the '80s, maybe "Babette's Feast". i was studying the history of jewellery design at the time, and this Nordic wedding stuff completely blew my mind. i'd never seen or even heard of it, and it led me off on a completely new path of exploration.
