In my case my real nails just break off so they are sometimes at different lengths. There could very well be an innocent explanation!
Also, sometimes musicians will grow out one or two nails (or even the nails of one hand) longer than the other(s) to facilitate playing their instrument or instruments of choice. Again, innocent explanation.
I've seen them on pinkies a couple times.
