Seven of Stephen Jay Gould's books are being republished in paperback format. I always enjoyed his essays in Natural History magazine, but at the moment I'm admiring the design of the covers, described as a "quilt-like use of cover illustrations derived from a plate originally used in The Cabinet of Oriental Entomology (1848), by John Obadiah Westwood."
Oh, that is SO cool.
