Drop crotch skinny jeans - updated

Available from Oak (marked down from $158 to $79).  They also have drop crotch sweat pants on sale for half-price at $64:

I can't advise you as to whether the heels are part of a coordinated look, but I do know that for drop crotch jodhpurs, you'll need to go to Comme des Garçons:

Also available for half price at $298.  It would make me wonder if the wearer had scrotal elephantiasis, but then I'm not up on fashion, so I'll leave the commenting to those of you with a more enlightened and contemporary viewpoint.

Via The Stir.

Reposted from 2012 because John Farrier posted at Neatorama these "double-waist jeans" -

- apparently by the same designer as these double (?triple-) waist jeans -

- which are not the same as these upside-down jeans -

- or as interesting as these double-back shorts -

- or as cool as these thong jeans:

  3. My first thought also was scrotal elephantiasis.. I wouldn't wear that even if I was paid.

  4. Proof positive: high fashion is a thinly-veiled attempt to make people look stupid(er).

    1. It seems to have gone well beyond "attempt" into the realms of certainty. Can anyone point to an example of these actually looking anything other than seriously silly?

  5. These are clothes for women, so I don't think scrotal elephantiasis would be the appropriate assumption. However, vulval elephantiasis is in the realm of options. Regardless, ew.

  6. The drop crotch jodhpurs are made of wool. Not only could the pants hold half a bag of groceries, but one could scratch all the way home from the supermarket.

  10. Ironically, if you drop the crotch all the way down, it doesn't look quite so bad, like "harem pants" or "aladdin pants", but that is only good for costume parties.

  11. I guess it's no coincidence that they all seem to be marked down.

  12. Are they trying to make women as unattractive-looking as the sagging-pants guys? Is this a way to cut down the birth rate? Have yu ever watched people walk with sagging pants? Oh, my.

The captcha says "iliketh". I don't liketh.

  13. It's rather hard to imagine that there are people who, on looking at that first picture, will think, "I want to look *just like that*!"...

  14. Reminds of the traditional Lebanese dress back in the old days. We call it "Sherwal".

When they dance the Dabkeh they wear it too.

  17. I don't think she has done any of these in particular, but Safiya Nygaard has a series of testing out ridiculous fashion.

  18. And Still. No. Pockets! Which is why I like old lady fat jeans, I can put my phone in my pocket and it fits, lol. Thankfully these are usually just the stupid look for the runway as they don't generally sell well enough to make it worthwhile to do a production run on them (I hope).
