"Eyes right!"

A small Belgian boy salutes Canadian troops attending a memorial service.  The command is a compliment typically paid to dignitaries.

  2. That brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for posting it. The Belgians have never forgotten the Canadian contribution to their liberation in both World Wars and it means a lot to us. There is a special bond illustrated here.

Here is a link to our government's description of that relationship.

  5. Add me to the tears in eyes group. That little boy was so patient and perfect in his salute. I loved the "eyes right" response from the troups. I'm sure he'll never forget that.

  6. It's exactly this kind of thing that makes me think that those of us who stand for liberty and peace can come together in strength to stop those who would take it - from any of us.

  7. Someone went to the trouble to kit him out and teach him the bug stomp. Lovely gesture on both parts.
