Peacock in flight

An India Blue Peacock (Pavo cristatus).  Clearly not a creature designed for aerodynamic efficiency - but still an impressive sight.

    Beautiful photo! We went to Tilos in Greece summer 2011 and spent several days in a park surrounded by peacocks, but I never saw one flying like this one.

    With the huge size and the 'flaming' wings, this is the exact image of the mythical Phoenix.
