I have seen a photo of a gymnast in a similar pose mid-air before, but the position of the ball in this photo is marvellous. Incredible good fortune for the photographer that it worked out this way.
Make the viewer's eye wonder a second. Than give the mind a "a-ha" relief. Than comes the admiration. This is what a picture should be. Or shortly: Awesome!!!
