  1. Such a fabulous photo.

The NYC newspapers--especially the NYTimes--have had some terrific coverage of the advent of same-sex marriage in the state. The Times even had a special section on it on Sunday, with some wonderful photos and interviews. The Daily News had a "live blog" on the Web featuring as-it-happened wedding photos sent in by readers, one after another after another. You couldn't keep up with them.

The love and joy just spilled out of those photos. How anyone could resist it, I can't imagine.

One very bright spot shining out of the morass of awfulness that's afflicting us currently.

  2. Oooh, look, they're so wonderfully happy - how could anyone object to such harmless joy?

  3. Now they go home and live happily ever after, I presume - at least, that's what most newlyweds look forward to.

  4. I suppose, since this is a new privilege, it will be honored more than conventional heteros... I look forward to the upcomming statistics that say, 'divorces going down'. for a while, anyway...
