  2. For haute couture concept art, I actually kind of like those boots. They're like the love child of Birkenstocks and ballet pointe shoes. Here's the rest of the clothes they go with: http://www.teampeterstigter.com/paris/jan-taminiau-couture-collection-fallwinter-2012/ It's pretty far out there, but once it's toned down about ten notches for retail stores I think it'll be quite attractive - which is more than I can say for most couture!

No comment on the other... thing.

  6. I'm a jeans-and-T-shirt kind of guy, always have been, so I don't have the slightest notion of what, or why, haute couture is. But I think it might be some kind of weird performance art in which "designers" compete to see who can make tall, skinny women look uglier. Those--what are they, shoes?--prove there's definitely an element of misogyny.

  10. The shoes are interesting but the fashion world is going crazy with trying to be really 'artsy' with their clothes. There is a difference between artistic fashion and costumes that people are just not aware of. I know they'll say something like "we are trying to break the barrier between clothes and costume art". The art card is often used.
