There are beaches in New Jersey on Long Beach Island and various spots on the Cape Cod National Sea Shore where the sand will chirp as you scuff your feet in it. When snow conditions are just right, snow will also chirp when you walk through it.
What's stopping you from moving nearer to a desert? In Southern California you're close to both high and low deserts, mountains with plenty of snow in the winter, and, of course, the ocean. You can have it all!
You can experience singing sands in numerous places in the US. One place is the Kelso Dunes in the Mojave Desert.
