Jim, that's Scott Walker, current governor of the state of Wisconsin. I should blog about him, but I'm still collecting links and trying to figure out what to say. The sentiment on the truck is posted for the schoolteachers in my family.
To say the least. He is a newly elected Republican (read politically conservative) pushed through a bill in the State Legislature ending collective bargaining for state workers, most of whom tend to vote Democrat. He blames the teachers and other non-elected state employees on Wisconsin's budget shortfalls, completely ignoring the recent tax cut he just gave the wealthiest people in the state.
Pardon my ignorance, but who is that man?

ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks for posting this!
ReplyDeleteFennimore?
ReplyDeleteI gather he's not the strongest ally of education funding?

Urgh. I just can't understand how these people remain popular.
ReplyDeleteSimilar things happen in Australia too, though I suspect not to the same extent. Education's in a bad shape here.
