Described in Germany's
The Local as a "new form of alcohol abuse" -
Police in the Baden-Württemburg city of Tuttlingen responded Tuesday to growing online chatter among teenagers that they could become intoxicated using the vodka tampons without having alcohol on their breath.
This is not true, police said, denying that it was an effective way to get drunk. They also warned girls that the alcohol could damage vaginal walls and increase the risk of infection. Boys have reportedly also been using tampons anally.
- but it's not new; here's a similar case in
2008.
Stupid, Stupid ...... stupid. just go get drunk if it's that important to you.
ReplyDeleteYeah, incredible. Natural selection should, over time, fix this, too.

Yet another drug scare that just isn't happening. It is really laughable what adults will believe about kids.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, just like adults if kids have access to alcohol they will drink it, not devise some elaborate way to take it in via some mucous membrane or another.
A flask/thermos/water bottle isn't that difficult to hide and nobody makes regular passes to smell kids breath. If kids think they have alcohol on their breath they will sit in the back of class if they are smart.
I am certain that *someone* out of the 6x10^9 people on the planet has tried this before, but it isn't a trend and it isn't newsworthy.
When my Hubby had a toothache, I soaked a tampon in whisky which he put in his mouth where his sore tooth was and clamped down.
ReplyDeleteIt seemed to work...
They also work really good with nosebleeds.
