U.S. - Canada relations explained by Tom Brokaw

  1. As a long time "Canadophile" from the midwest (several friends from BC, Montreal, and rural Ontario along with many visits to various places and a fishing cabin in Ontario) I have always liked that video. I have always like how different Canada and the US are despite a lot of shared history and culture. And when I say different I also mean complimentary in many ways. People always talk about the US/UK special relationship but I have always felt more akin to our northern neighbors than our neighbors across the Atlantic.

  3. Even though Canada is another country, it just feels like Canadians are like cousins, living in another house, but a part of the family, nevertheless. There is so much that we have in common. Heck, we drive on the same side of the road.

Living in South Florida, we have lots of snowbirds each year, many of them from Canada, so it's even more of a cultural blending.

Thanks for posting the video. I don't think I've seen this before.
