A tiger in the tub

About halfway down the Reddit thread is a discussion of how to anesthetize large cats.

  1. Reminds me of the movie: The Hangover.

  2. Why? Seeing exotic animals, especially big cats, in domestic homes makes me so irritated. I doubt that cat is at a legitimate sanctuary seeing as how it is in a tub. Ridiculously neglectful, not only is this cruel to the animal but the parent seems selfish enough to allow their child around a wild animal that could potentially harm or kill the girl. Very stupid.

  3. What do tigers dream of, when they take a little tiger snooze? Do they dream of mauling zebras, or Halle Berry in a Catwoman suit?...

  4. Anon, I would not consider this likely to be "domestic home" - note the drawers under the tub and the anaesthesia equipment (tubing for a mechanical ventilator).

I would bet this is a veterinary office or animal rescue center of some sort.

I don't perceive any evidence of cruelty to the animal. If they're undertaking dental work, for example, they are showing a lot of kindness.
