What a beautiful photo. Today's photography seems to have lost something, for all its sophistication.

I've done lots of work in black and white photography. I used to get some criticism as to why I didn't do a lot of color, but to tell you something there is something beautiful about black and white photography, when it's done right.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Matt about this photo, and what today's photography seems to have lost.
I'm currently reading Ken Follet's "Fall of Giants" - this is a great companion piece.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lazarus. I appreciate the recognition and your kind words.
ReplyDeleteI Agree With Matt's Comment about modern photos having "lost something".Lord Knows what this quality might be?
ReplyDeleteAlso, strangely, your photo reminds me of the same quality I saw in this photo i took in Italy 2 years ago.A Certain Grace & Gentleness ........

Does anyone know the name of this model and where I can find more pictures?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Sabrina
I just found out who she is this month! Her name is (was) Grete Reinwald, and she became a silent film actress in the 20s. See my blog at www.gretereinwald.blogspot.com --Susan Sumner
ReplyDeleteExcellent detective work, Susan. I've inserted a link to your blog as an addendum to the post.
